Adding Pricing Plans for SaaS Listings

Add a fixed, usage-based, or a hybrid pricing plan for a SaaS listing.

    1. Follow steps 1 to 3 described in Creating an OCI Application Listing.
    2. To add a pricing plan, select either of the three pricing plans: Fixed pricing plan, Usage-based pricing plan or Hybrid pricing plan.
      Note

      • In Fixed pricing plan, customers pay a fixed fee regardless of the usage.
      • In Usage-based pricing plan, customers are charged according to what they use. Each usage dimension is independently calculated and billed based on actual usage.
      • The Hybrid pricing plan combines the base price and overage pricing. Each plan includes base price, included dimension price, and overage price.

    Fixed Pricing Plan

    In this plan, customers pay the same subscription fee each billing period, regardless of usage, and receive all the services included in the selected plan.

    1. Select Fixed pricing plan.
    2. Select Add Pricing Plan. Enter the following information:
      • Name: Enter a name for the plan.
      • Description: Enter the plan details.
      • Billing frequency: Select the billing frequency for the plan.
      • Plan duration: Select the plan duration.
        Note

        The plan duration is greater than the billing frequency.
      • Pricing: Enter the price for the plan.
        Note

        For SaaS listings, pricing is currently supported only in US Dollars (USD).

    Usage-based Pricing Plan

    In this plan, customers are billed according to actual resource consumption using one or more pricing dimensions.

    1. Select Usage-based pricing plan.
    2. Select Add Pricing Plan. Enter the following information:
      • Name: Enter a name for the plan.
      • Description: Enter the plan details.
      • Billing frequency: Select the billing frequency for the plan.
      • Plan duration: Select the plan duration.
    Dimension

    A Dimension represents a measurable unit of consumption defined by the publisher. Each pricing dimension has an associated unit price, and the total subscription cost is calculated from the customer's usage across all configured dimensions.

    1. Enter the following information:
      • Dimension name: Enter a name for the dimension.
      • Description: Enter a description for the dimension.
      • Billing frequency: Select the billing frequency for the dimension.
      • Pricing: Enter a price for the dimension.
    2. Select Add Dimension.
      Note

      Currently, you can add maximum ten dimensions.
    3. Select Save Pricing Plan.

    Hybrid Pricing Plan

    In this plan, customers pay a fixed base fee that covers an included quantity for each dimension. If they exceed the included quantity, they pay for additional usage.

    1. Select Add Pricing Plan. Enter the following information:
      • Name: Enter a name for the plan.
      • Description: Enter the plan details.
      • Billing frequency: Select the billing frequency for the plan.
      • Plan duration: Select the plan duration.
    Base Price

    Enter the base price for the listing. Customers pay the base fee that covers the included quantity for each dimension.

    Dimension

    1. Enter the following information:
      • Dimension name: Enter a name for the dimension.
      • Description: Enter a description for the dimension.

      • Included quantity: Enter included quantity in the base fee.
    2. Select Add Dimension.

      Overage pricing

      Defines the extra fee customers are charged when they use more than what is included in their subscription.

      1. Overage pricing: Enter the overage pricing.
      2. Select Save Pricing Plan.
      3. Select Next.
