Manage Members of a Disaster Recovery Protection Group

Learn how to manage members to a Disaster Recovery (DR) Protection Group.

  1. On the DR protection groups list page, select the DR protection groups that you want to work with. If you need help finding the list page, see List Disaster Recovery Protection Groups.
  2. Change the compartment to the one that contains the DR Protection Group to which you want to add members.

    The DR Protection Groups in the compartment that you selected are listed.

  3. Click the DR Protection Group for which you want to manage members and navigate to the page for that DR Protection Group.
  4. Select the Members tab to navigate to the Members page for the DR Protection Group.
  5. Click View details to view the details of the members.
  6. Click Manage members.
  7. In the Manage members panel, the following options are available:
    • Member
    • Modification state: The states are updated as follows:
      • Modified: If you edit the properties of a member. You can click Revert changes to undo the modification.
      • Added: If you add a new member. You can Edit the member however the state is not changed. You can also Remove the member and the state is updated to Removed.
      • Removed: If you remove an existing member. You can click Revert changes to undo the removal.
    • Service
    • Compartment

    You can select multiple members by clicking the checkbook and add, edit, or remove members.

  8. Select Add member to add members.
  9. You can Edit and Remove by clicking the 3-dot Action menu for each member.
  10. Select the Resource type to add.
  11. Select the Publish changes to update the changes. A summary of all the changes is displayed which includes the number of added, modified, or removed members.
  12. Accept the warning that member addition or removal will delete all existing plans in the protection group.
  13. Select Cancel if you want to discard the updates that you have performed.
