OpenSearch Version 2.18 Support

OCI Search with OpenSearch now supports OpenSearch version 2.18, bringing new AI and machine learning capabilities for search, observability, and application development.

This update includes enhanced AI assistant support for observability and integration with LangChain in OCI Data Science, enabling developers to build conversational search and retrieval-augmented generation applications using OpenSearch as a vector store.

You can upgrade existing clusters to version 2.18 from the Oracle Cloud Console. For more information, see Upgrading Search with OpenSearch Cluster Software.
